The Firm

Whatever career goals you have, as one of the world’s most prestigious law firms, they can help you to achieve them. They’re committed to maximising potential in all of our people. So, they’ll give you a training contract that plays to your strengths, plus a wealth of dedicated support – allowing you to develop a long and rewarding career in law.

The Work

Many law firms are strong in particular areas. Linklaters is the only firm to have market-leading teams across the globe covering a full range of practice areas. This, combined with the breadth of their client base (including leading financial institutions, governments and high-profile companies), sets them apart from their competitors.

Trainee Profile

Linklaters helps you achieve your ambition by providing an outstanding environment in which to succeed. For non-law graduates, it starts with the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), giving you all the legal knowledge required to start your professional training. All graduates then come together to complete the bespoke Legal Practice Course (LPC). Your two-year training contract covers six-month seats in four practice areas, typically including an international or client secondment, so you will have the opportunity to develop a breadth and depth of knowledge and to enjoy the highest quality training in commercial law – allowing you to develop as a lawyer and consider qualification options for your career. They believe in continuous learning and so the unique Linklaters Law and Business School will deliver the tools, knowledge and confidence for you throughout your career.
